Kid and Youth Ministries
Kids are important!
We understand that kids are loud, fun, inquisitive little squirrels of energy. Overall, we know that kids will speak when it’s quiet and run around when it feels like they shouldn’t, and that is ok! We laugh at the “is it over yet?” and “is this the boring part?” questions spoken in the least expected moments. We want you and your whole family to feel welcome, unjudged, and loved by MAC and Jesus. MAC is where you will find friends who stick closer than a brother and a God who is ready to meet you exactly where you and your family are at.
We like to have everyone in attendance in the sanctuary for praise and worship before releasing the children for their Sunday morning classes. You’ll see the kids run out of the Sanctuary with intention, racing to get to class. INSIDER TIP: Look for the MACKiDS activity page when you come in the sanctuary!
MACKiDS Sunday morning classes are full of learning about God with a mix of applications to reach the array of learning styles and age ranges. Our curriculum comes from Discovery Land through The Alliance. It uses The Four Rights: know, think, do, and feel to give our kids a “biblical worldview so they are ready for today, tomorrow, and eternity.”
Check-In
The worship service starts at 10 am, but if you have kids we recommend you come early to register them in MACKids (or to give yourself a little extra time to get a hot chocolate, tea, or enjoy a special latte made by one of our team members).
Fun Bible Lessons
We start all together in the Fireside Room for an activity, Bible memory games, and a lesson. We have adult volunteers helping who love kids and have passed background checks.
Nursery & Preschool
After the opening activities, the preschoolers will go to their own room. And, of course, we have a nursery open the entire morning with loving volunteers available for the littlest littles! There is also a "Mommy & Me" nursing room at the back of the sanctuary with a one-way viewing window for privacy.
This is a place you can belong! Youth from grades 6-12 meet every Sunday from 6-8 p.m. in the Warehouse (the building next to the church) for snacks, worship, teaching, and hey… just being with others who get you. This student ministry is run entirely by adults who understand how important this age is and how important their questions are – silly or serious. We listen. We want to foster a community where students can grow in their Christian faith.
GOOD TO KNOW: We dress casually and comfortably, so no stress on what to wear. If you have food allergies, it’s good to let us know so we can have something for you the next time you come!
Fun & Games
We’ll start the evening outside or in the sanctuary (depending on the weather) with games like 9Square and ridiculous feats of folly as students arrive at leisure.
Bible Study
After the games, we head over to The Warehouse to open up our Bibles (we have extras for you, so don’t worry if you don’t have one) and study to understand more about God and how applying the truth of the Bible to our lives can make an impressive difference.
Digging Deeper
After the lesson, we’ll split up into middle school and high school age groups to talk more about the lesson and learn from each other.
